Have developed and implemented global enterprise information security solutions (Endpoint, Network, Data, User, Cloud, IoT) for two of Canada’s largest banks, and several financial institutions such as Tangerine Bank, Toronto Stock Exchange and other entities.
Have developed multi-year Information Security/Cyber Security strategies and roadmaps designed to improve operational effectiveness and reduce cost. Examples include reductions in cyber insurance costs, security tooling cost reduction and outsourcing cost/benefit analysis.
Have handled/led cyber incidents from nation state attackers, hacktivists, fraudsters and criminal organizations with some resulting in media attention, regulatory fines, law enforcement co-ordination and multi-jurisdictional regulatory management.
Adept at implementing global enterprise programs such as Threat Risk Assessments, DevSecOps, Cloud Posture/Transformation, TPRM, Red Team/Pen Testing, Cyber Operations/SOC, Vulnerability Management, Data Loss Prevention and User Awareness and Training.
Have extensive experience with international regulations such as NYDFS, FFIEC, GLBA, SOX, PCI DSS 4.0, ISO-27001 (Certified ISO Auditor), ITIL, OSFI, IIROC, FCA, Singapore/MAS, HKMA, Mexico/CNBV, India/RBI, GDPR and other Latin American regulatory policies related to IT/Cyber. Have met extensively with regulators around the world and assisted in the design of international regulations on various cyber topics.
Evangelist-At-Large of Cyber Security; meeting extensively with commercial institutions across the world, speaking at cyber conferences (on AI, cyber security, leadership), assisting startups and being part of the VC community.
Have extensive experience presenting to over 30 international boards on a frequent basis on Information/Cyber Security topics.
Particularly skilled at delivering cyber resiliency/response exercises/simulations for C-Level, Boards and technical audiences.
