Rachel Babins is a cofounder of Emerging Leaders Can Hack (ELCH), a unique hackathon experience that brings together young professionals, industry executives and leading Cyber Security vendor solutions to enable experiential technical training, mentorship and brand exposure. Through this venture, she has trained and empowered 100+ Canadian students and young professionals in cyber incident response and threat intelligence.
Rachel is a cyber operator at heart and currently works on Bell Canada’s cyber incident response team. She’s also held roles in Fusion response, cyberfraud, and cyber threat intelligence in both the private and public sector at CIBC, NATO’s Operational headquarters in the Netherlands and at the Canadian government’s Nuclear Energy Division. In 2019, she received her Masters Degree in Russian Studies, where she wrote her thesis on Russian ICS-tailored malware targeting critical infrastructure in Ukraine, the US and Canada.
