Nora Hammond is a Detective Constable for the Toronto Police Service. She has been a police officer for 17 years and her past policing experience includes working in the Hold-Up Squad, the Major Crime Unit and the Community Response Unit. Nora is currently working in the Coordinated Cyber Centre and has spent the last two years investigating cybercrime. She has been involved in cyber investigations ranging from email fraud to missing persons and online threats. Nora has a BSc from Western University and a BEd from the University of Ottawa. Prior to policing she was a high school teacher with the Toronto District School Board. Applying her experience with teaching and her skills in cyber investigations, Nora has a newfound passion for promoting girls and women to pursue jobs within STEM fields.
