Maher Chaar is an Associate Partner for IBM Canada with over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity specializing in Identity and Access Management (IAM). After graduating from Carleton University in Ottawa, he started his career as a programmer / analyst working on Bell Canada’s pioneering commercial identity services. Having gained a strong background in IAM service delivery, he helped many of Bell’s customers develop their own IAM programs before leaving Bell to become an independent IAM consultant. As IBM’s IAM competency leader and executive consultant in Canada, he now leads many IAM projects and provides strategic guidance to IBM’s customers from across the public and private sector.
