Maggie Calle is the Vice-President and Chief Information Security Officer at Varicent. She has spent over twenty-five years in security leadership roles in large financial, insurance, retail and technology companies. She has successfully established a “tone at the top” in the management and oversight of cybersecurity and risk management programs supporting business objectives, innovation, and digital transformations.
She is a mentor and promotes STEM education in her community and has won multiple awards such as Women to Watch, IT World Canada’s Top 20 Women in Cybersecurity, IFSEC Global Top Influencer in Cybersecurity, and SiberX Woman in Leadership. She co-authored the book Women Transforming the Landscape of Science and Tech, which has become an international best-seller in Amazon.
She holds active CISSP and PMP certifications, a Bachelor of Commerce and Information Technology Management degree from Toronto Metropolitan University, an MBA in Risk Management and Corporate Governance from Athabasca University, a Masters Certificate in Project Management from Schulich University, a Diploma in Computer Programming and Analysis from Seneca College and a Human Resources Graduate Certificate from Seneca College.
