Heather MacLean is the Executive Director, Canadian Operations (Country Manager), EC-Council. Her experience spans six industries in more than 20 countries. She has worked in both public and private sectors, including a publicly-traded company.
Before EC-Council, Heather was a co-founder of CyberNB, Canada’s first comprehensive cybersecurity strategy. She led their Skills and Workforce Development Programme. She has been invited to speak internationally about New Brunswick’s unique approach. She also led the academic programs for two different organizations. She was a member of the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise working group and the CATA Alliance eCrime Cyber Council. She currently is a member of ICTC’s Cybersecurity Leadership Council on Youth & Education and the Smart City Labour Demand Task Force.
Heather has extensive experience in curricula development and is a part-time professor in Communications and Public Policy at Saint Thomas University.
