
Farzia Khan is an award-winning tech leader, advocate for cyber literacy, and champion of innovation. As the Senior Manager of Information Security at TD Bank, she has led enterprise-wide cyber resiliency initiatives, driving awareness, strengthening defenses, and empowering colleagues and customers to navigate evolving cyber threats. Her career began when she was selected as one of the top 30 female students to advise the CEO on the Future of Work at BMO, where she spearheaded large-scale impactful technology initiatives.
A passionate advocate for Women in STEM, Farzia is the founder of ElleHacks, Canada’s largest all-women hackathon, and Robocon, the first international hackathon focused on service robots. She also established a DEI scholarship at her alma mater to support underrepresented communities.
As the founder of NextGen Digital Defender, she is dedicated to demystifying cybersecurity careers and teaching digital safety to the next generation through education, storytelling, and advocacy. She is also a children’s book author, using engaging narratives to teach kids about cyber safety and digital responsibility.
Fluent in six languages, Farzia provides free translation services for underprivileged immigrants and mentors students from diverse backgrounds. Her contributions to STEM and cyber literacy have earned her recognition as Top Community Influencer, Top 30 under 30 Changemaker, Women in Science & Engineering Champion and CILAR Aspiring Innovator Award Winner. As an emerging leader, she is committed to making technology and cybersecurity accessible and inspiring for future generations.
