Charles’ information security career spans over thirty years, primarily in financial services. Prior to joining Team8, Charles was Global Head of Information Security at Citigroup, having joined the global investment bank in 2005 and served in other Information Security executive roles. Previously, Charles worked at JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank before forming AbsoSecurity, a risk management consultants for the financial services industry.
Charles has held numerous industry positions including Chair of the American Bankers Association E-Commerce Policy Committee; Chair of the OpenGroup Security Program Group; Chair of the FIX Security Working Group; Founding Director of the FS/ISAC and is the former Chairman of the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council (FSSCC).
Charles holds a BSc in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
