Carmen Corbin is the Counter Cybercrime Advisor for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Dakar, Senegal. She is part of the Global Program on Cybercrime and works to provide technical assistance to countries across, principally, West Africa on cyber-legal issues and cyber investigations. Carmen has worked as a United States federal prosecutor for over eleven years, and recently worked as the U.S. Department of Justice Resident Legal Advisor in Benin. She prosecuted hundreds of cases, the majority of which involved cybercrime and digital evidence, including child exploitation, sextortion, child sex tourism, human trafficking, and the trafficking of narcotics and weapons.
