Amit Weigman is the Director of Solution Engineering at Cyberint, a Check Point company, where he works with organizations worldwide to help them understand, anticipate, and respond to fast-evolving cyber threats. His work sits at the intersection of threat intelligence, security operations, and emerging technology, combining deep field experience with a data-driven, analytical mindset. Amit focuses on translating complex threat landscapes into practical, actionable insights for security teams operating in high-risk, fast-moving environments.
Earlier in his career, Amit served for many years in Unit 8200, Israel’s elite military intelligence unit renowned for its leadership in cyber operations, SIGINT, and technological innovation. During his service, he led teams responsible for mission-critical intelligence operations impacting national security and global digital infrastructure. His experience spans threat detection, adversary analysis, and the coordination of complex intelligence workflows under sustained operational pressure.
In recent years, Amit’s research has focused on the evolving mechanics of modern cybercrime and cyber conflict, with particular attention to areas often underexplored by traditional security models. His work examines ransomware ecosystems and access broker economies, the operational infrastructure behind nation-state and proxy actors, and the growing role of adversarial AI in both offensive and defensive cyber operations. This includes analyzing how threat actors leverage AI for reconnaissance, social engineering, automation, and evasion, as well as how defenders can use AI to expose manipulation, deception, and synthetic activity at scale. Amit has also conducted comparative research on cyber activity across major geopolitical conflicts, including Russia–Ukraine and Israel–Hamas, highlighting how cyber operations are increasingly used to project power, shape narratives, and support kinetic objectives. His insights have been shared at leading international conferences such as RSA, it-sa, and Infosec, and featured in leading global cybersecurity and technology publications, with his research frequently cited by industry media and analysts covering the evolving threat landscape.
