Anastasiia is a Security Operations Manager with a background in computer engineering and a career spanning SOC analysis, security engineering, startups, and large healthcare organizations. She moved to Canada two years ago and has quickly become part of the security community here.
Anastasiia is passionate about the future of cybersecurity – particularly how practitioners can keep pace as the field evolves exponentially – and about bringing more people into it. She believes in creating welcoming spaces to learn, lowering barriers to entry, and building the kind of community that makes the work richer for everyone in it.
Her session, Your Brain is Lying to You: Cognitive Bias in Security Investigations, draws on her SOC experience to explore the human side of investigations: how cognitive bias shapes analyst judgment, and what we can do about it.
