He currently serves as a Director at the Bank of Montreal (BMO), where he provides independent oversight and assurance across enterprise technology and cyber security risk domains, supporting executive management and regulatory accountability.
Afshaad brings deep expertise in risk oversight, control frameworks, and regulatory expectations across North American and global jurisdictions. His work focuses on assessing the design and effectiveness of governance structures, internal controls, and risk management practices spanning cyber security, third party and cloud risk, resiliency, data governance, and large scale technology programs.
