Hadi Anwar is the Group Chief Information Officer (Group CIO) at Group 42 (G42). He provides leadership for the continued development of an innovative, robust, and secure technology environment throughout the Group.
Hadi brings over 20 years of global experience in Technology and Cybersecurity and has a diverse background across a wide spectrum of industries. Before joining G42, Hadi was the CISO and Head of Data Privacy and Business Continuity/Resilience at NEOM, a US 500-billion dollar mega city project in Saudi Arabia. In this role, Hadi was responsible for deployment and implementation of critical smart city-related technology, including cyber security, data privacy and business continuity controls.
Hadi has held several leadership roles in IT including VP of IT, Data Privacy and Cyber Security Transformation and Integration at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), where he was responsible for the planning, development and delivery of advanced technology and security solutions. Hadi has also played an instrumental role in setting up technology and cybersecurity functions at various organizations including Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) and has advised business leaders on transforming their technology departments while at Ernst & Young and Deloitte in the UK.
In addition to various IT certifications, Hadi holds a Masters’ Degree from the prestigious London School of Economics & Political Science in Management of Information Systems. He also recently received his Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) from INSEAD.
